Speed Tests

On Sunday, November 19, we made our way from St. Louis out of the urban noise to a really quiet place in the country Southwest of Bowling Green, KY. However, was a short stay with only a few hours. After setting up at Singing Hills RV Park outside of Mammoth Cave National Park we had to pack up and head south. Jason was not able to get any cell signal with either AT&T or with Verizon, plus the RV’s WiFi network also had very little bandwidth. Given Jason requires a stable internet connection to work remotely we had to uproot and head somewhere with dits and bits flying through the air. Jason finished his project of installing the TP-Link outdoor WiFi equipment and still no access. The speedtest numbers were really bad on all of the networks.

So late afternoon we traveled two hours into Sunday evening, through the twisty turny back roads of Kentucky and Tennessee relocating to Cookeville, TN. We knew of this site because our life change was inspired by Less Junk, More Journey who are from this area. So far the relocation was worth the effort as the cellular service with AT&T has been strong. We will need to visit the Mammoth Cave area sometime on a vacation when Internet is not required!
